Greetings in Christ's name!
I was told about this community from an online acquaintance. How I wish I lived so much closer. The ministry that is happening there is incredible. Thank you for opening your lives to the Spirit so that those living on the edge are able to be cared for and valued as a child of God. Tonight our youth worker has taken the confirmation class and their mentors on a sandwich run to Toronto to feed some of the homeless. The youth group has done this twice and it's an amazing eye opening experience for our youth who are middle-class. God is indeed opening hearts and minds with these young people.
I look forward to receiving the newsletters and discovering how God is moving in your community. Who knows, I just might take some vacation or study leave and live with you for a week, if that is allowed.
May God continue to bless you in your work.
Blessings,

Welcome, Evelyn!
It is wonderful to hear your words of encouragement and the good opportunities going on in your community of faith. We would welcome a visit! In fact, there are a few intentional weekends called "Schools for Conversion" that are put togethe and hosted by a group similar to us fro Durham, NC, US. We have considered asking them to enable us to host one such weekend here in Charlotte, NC, US at the Hyaets Community. Tht would be a wonderful opportunity for us all! But we would welcome you to come anytime!
We are in the process of getting the website up and these forums establised, so lok for changes pretty often - in fact, I was able todo qute a bit today. As we add more of what oes on in our community to the website, you may want to check back. We welcome discussion and conversation as the stories of each of our lives have so much to teach on another.
Thanks and Shalom! _________________ Jason |

Welcome, Evelyn.
It is helpful for us to hear what others are doing to address homelessness and poverty and to hear from others with the same passion. Thanks for sharing. _________________ Joanie

Thanks, Evelyn, for your kind words. It is nice to know that others are interesed in what we are doing. It is also very encouraging to hear of others who are serving in similar ways.
Might I ask, who was your email acquaintance that introduced you to our community?
Peace,

Sorry for the delay in answering. It came from someone who posts regularly to an internation/interdenominational lectionary online bible study called Midrash. I deleted that email so I can't tell you who. But I'm thankful that they did.
Do you know of similar ministries in Canada?
Blessings,

Hi Evelyn,
So glad to see that you checked this out! If you do come to Charlotte you must let me know so I can actually meet someone from the Midrash and Etalk groups. That would be cool!
